I have a 135 that got stuck in reverse recently. Tried the normal things but no luck. As I shut it down I thought the pressure would be reversed as the engine costed down so I pulled the shifter to first and she poped out with no resistance what so ever.

hi im a 15 yr old lad who has also got a TE20 petrol paraffin.and i when my dad bought it it didn't run, he had it running a long time ago, may about 6 years or so. i have now decided to get it running and put it in to shows. the engine runs fine. but my gear box is jammed too, my gear lever you could move it side to side fine but not in to any of the gear ports, and i have had the gear lever off, but i don't know what I'm looking at to see what is wrong, i'm in to my mechanics but never done a gear box before. if anyone could help me out e.g step by step what to do, and also on the bottom of the gear lever the is a ring with a bit missing. does that have to be facing any way in particular or is it just a washer?? any help would be good. thank you,

I have a TO 35 (59-60?) which was stuck in gear. Problem was small retaining springs forward of rails. Aftermarket springs were longer and stronger so you have to really mean it when you shift but are functional.
