The manual gives the correct method of dismantling and re-assembly of each part of the tractor in considerable detail and covers both the red/grey MF35 and gold/grey FE35 tractors.
Which engines does the manual cover?
The FE35 and MF35 tractors were fitted with either petrol, vaporising oil, lamp oil or diesel engines. This manual covers the 23C Standard and 3A.152 Perkins diesel engines. For repair information on the petrol, vaporising oil and lamp oil engines please refer to the TE20 Workshop Service Manual. The engine specifications for all the engines are contained in this MF35 Manual.

Only genuine MF manuals
We only sell genuine Massey Ferguson manuals supplied directly from MF. They are printed on high quality paper and presented in a ring binder.
It is possible to get manuals from other publishers which are about two thirds of the price, but Vintage Tractor Engineer will not sell these cheaper manuals. The manuals from other publishers tend to miss out some of the important detail and procedures – this detail is imperative when working on precision components.
Here are a couple of example pages from the manual so you can get an idea of the detail contained in the manual…

Hi
I have recently bought an old 35x Massey Ferguson tractor and are busy rebuilding and restoring it. I would like to buy a fully descriptive manual to show me how to complete the project and if possible with the necessary part numbers, tips and photo’s. Can you advice me which book is the best to buy.
Danie
Hi Danie,
Massey Ferguson don’t produce a manual specifically for the MF35x. The MF35 manual (here on this page) is the most appropriate information source for your tractor.
This manual does include the multi-power section (as fitted to the 35x). Really the only other thing that is omitted is the differential lock – there isn’t any information in this manual about the diff lock. However, it isn’t all so complicated and is really quite straight forward if you need to do any work on it.
Hope that helps,
Steve.
Does your manual completely cover the wiring of a T-35 gas 4-cyl. M-F? thanks.
The wiring and engine information for the petrol engine is contained in the TE20 manual. This is only for the Standard Motor Company engine and NOT the Continental engine.
Steve.
