1 Hi, Just viewed my copy of the hydraulics DVD and I’m really impressed with it. I’m no expert when it comes to mechanical things but the DVD is clear and simple enough to even keep me right – can’t wait to get started on my TEF!
Thanks and hopefully the engine DVD is not too far away!
Andy

I am very interested in your DVD. I have a TO30 tractor that I want to check the Hydraulic components. I believe I have a sticky control valve, but while I am in there, I would like to make sure everything is okay. Isn’t the TE20 Hydraulics very similar to the TO30? If so, please let me know how I can obtain a copy of this DVD

    Hi Jim,

We are UK based, and as a result we’ve never worked on a TO30. However, I believe you’re correct in saying that the hydraulic systems are very similar.

We don’t have a distributor in the US, but ship direct form the UK. We charge the same shipping rate to anywhere in the world.

If you order from the website the shopping cart will advise you how much it will cost in your local currency and do the currency exchange for us at the current exchange rate.

The payment gateway on the website uses Paypal, but you don’t need a Paypal account. You can pay with a debit or credit card.

Any problems just let me know.

    Kind Regards,

    Steve Ridsdale

    Hi,
I just became the owner of a french made massey ferguson 30, it has some issues, like the hydraulics work sometimes and dont other times, today whilst slashing the pto drive jumped out of engagment and now wont engage, just crunches.
Do you think the TE 20 Hydraulics DVD will be relevent to my 30?
I just ordered the engine rebuild video as it looks really useful.
Any Ideas on the pto engagement issue appreciated.
    Thanks and regards from Aus

    Dear Sir,
I have a TEF20 and front loader to fit. But do not know which type it is. Do you have any DVD’s on fitting various types of froot loaders?

    John Jordan

  • Vintage Tractor Engineer

    Hi Mark,

We’ve never worked on a French built tractor, so I’m not certain if the Hydraulics DVD is relevant or not.

    Steve.

Just received and watched the Ferguson TE 20 Hydraulics DVD.
Found it very instructive and also makes it more possible to work on it myself,if required.

Just one thing can you stop referring small bolts as screws.
I kept looking for the screw.

    Hi,

I have a 1950 TO-20 and am interested in your DVD. Several years ago, a friend of mine told me that UK DVDs will not play on US DVD players—something to do with being different region formats. Will your DVD work on US players?

    Thanks,

    John,

    Hi John,

We produce the DVD in both the Pal (European format) and NTSC (USA and Canada format). If you just order from the website then we will send the appropriate disc to you.

    Thanks for the enquiry,

    Steve and Ian (VTE)

    Hi Steve
Trying to rebuild a Ferguson TEF 20 tractor. Tried to remove P.T.O shaft to get pump out to inspect and clean but shaft only comes out 2/3 inches then stops.
Is there any advice that you could give me to remove the P.T.O shaft completely.

I find your dvd’s very interesting, I was just wondering If the skills learned in your dvd can be transfered over to other machines like skid loaders. I know that’s not what you are working on, but I guess what I’m trying to say could I use the fundamentals of your dvd’s on other diesel engines.

  • Vintage Tractor Engineer

    Hi Jason,

I would say that it depends on your experience. If you have never dismantled an engine before then you would learn how to assess the components for wear and serviceability, what to look for etc. These fundamentals are similar for all engines – obviously with the specific specs and tollerances for the engine you are working on.

However, there are different techniques for working with differnt designs of engine, for example different designs of cylinder liners require different methods of removal and re-fitting. Also the timing procedures and set-up are very specific to each individual model of engine.

    Steve.
